RT. Hon. Benjamin Okezie kalu CFR, PhD, the member representing Nigeria Parliament starting from Bende Federal Constituency, who doubles as the Deputy Speaker and the house Committee Chairman on 1999 Constitutional Review in Nigeria has unequivocally continue to make waves and build bridges in Geneva, Switzerland at the 55th session of the steering committee of the Parliamentary Conference of the World Trade Organization WTO that includes 8 member countries, not forgetting the European Union Parliament.
Kalu’s pivotal priority and decency in law making has not only brought out the best in him but has placed him on a global roadmap of great Leaders. He underscores the importance of bridging the gap between Nigeria, Africa and world continent. Suddenly, Kalu has become the “talk of the day” when it comes to parliamentary democracy. He wore a coat of Respect, Dignity, determination and consistency. He showcases himself readily available to undertake each task with pride, on the fact that he represents an African country whose Giant is unmatched and unshaken (Nigeria).
The recent change and shift in economic globalization, where many incredible yet significant decision are being made, with the likes of the Director of World Trade Organization, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iwuala presiding over the conference, Benjamin Okezie kalu has refused to let go of the Nigeria voice to be heard. He position his charisma, boldness and readiness to make impactful input. The voice of kalu echoing amidst unforseen circumstances embodies technically, his political influence of a global Leader. Benjamin has earned his feet in the Arena of great global Leaders.
While Kalu serves as member of the steering Committee of the Parliamentary Conference on world Trade Organization, he innately bears on his forehead a mark and symbol of a political Leader of the 21st century, who within a few period of time is reliably occupying the following positions, locally and globally; Deputy Speaker of Nigeria s house of representatives where he doubles as the house Committee Chairman on Constitutional Review, He also serves as a member of the African Union Pan-African Parliament where he doubles a member of Finance and Administrative Committee, Kalu is also a member of the ECOWAS Parliament where he chairs the Finance, Administration and Budget committee.
While Kalu is confident of his legislative representation globally, he has raised hope for the future generations and African upcoming leaders, Nigeria in particular. An Average political leader now sees himself as a global product, a fascinating contributor to International challenges, willing to proffer solutions to global issues. There’s a reassuring dynamics of the future wellness of tomorrow’s leaders, where our minds are reshape with a believable ideology that Nigeria, a giant of African most largest country can be great again. Benjamin Okezie kalu does not, while discharging his mandate, seek power to intimidate or oppressed the poor, ethnicity , region and or, even the less privilege but, he is a servant leader who want a revolution/change in public service and to humanity. Kalu Lion’s voice of impact and contribution in any gathering is a testament that Nigeria is on the right track as a global leader is born from the oldest local government in Nigeria, Bende Ancient Kingdom.
As the world continue to monitor and embress his political stamina, charisma, boldness and readiness to serve, the young aspiring and inspired leaders of tomorrow are been reminded that only those who are ready to pay the price can be regarded as Leaders, hence enforcing laws that will promote development , growth, economic impact, love, peace and happiness amongst Countries or Nations of the world.
