The State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists Abia State council, comrade Chidi Asonye, has inaugurated members of State NUJ Accountability Forum Committee led by Chief Sam Obinna Ibe as chairman, comrade Adiele Loveday Azubuike Secretary, Mrs Juliet Onyebuchi as Assistant Secretary while Mrs Onyinyechi Obi and Mr Chukwuma Emele served as members of this important committee.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at the NUJ Abia Secretariat along umuahia ubakala Aba road yesterday, Comrade Asonye informed the newly inaugurated committee members that their core mandate is for the Council to partner with Government, elected officers across board and political appointees including private investors so as to bridge the gap already existing between some top government officials, private investors and Abia NUJ.

He further encouraged each member of the committee to take his or her assignment very serious and also assured them maximum support and cooperation from leadership of Abia NUJ as they carry out their responsibilities.
Similarly, a seasoned journalist Ezeogo Boniface while administering the oath of office and allegiance to the Committee members as directed by Abia NUJ Boss, further congratulated members of the committee for their new appointments as well as encouraged them to show capacity in performing their duties. Responding, The leader of the group chief lbe on behalf of his members, commended the chairman Abia NUJ Council for given them opportunity to serve the council at the capacity assuring him that the committee under his watch as chairman, will not take the opportunity for granted.
