Hon Munachim Alozie, member representing Obingwa-Osisioma-Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, has reacted to the call for his recall by the Ngwa Rangers.
In his reaction, Hon Alozie acknowledged the right of the people to express their disaffection and demand quality representation, where none exists, but disagreed, in strongest terms, that he has been ‘absent’ from his responsibilities as a federal legislator.
Hon Alozie stated that contrary to the group’s false assessment of his performance since assumption of office, he has been alive to his responsibilities, both in legislation, representation and touching the lives of his constituents without the usual media hype.
Pointing out his modest achievements and contributions to solving national problems, Hon Alozie said that apart from his other quality contributions in the House, he, as the Chairman of the Committee on Recovery of Public Funds Seized, Forfeited and Abandoned in Financial Institutions and Government Agencies, has ensured the recovery of billions of Naira for the federal government, a feat that has been acknowledged to be unprecedented. He said that the House and the Central Bank would soon release the figures officially for Nigerians to see how much would have been lost, if not for the painstaking efforts of his committee.
On projects, Hon Alozie presented the projects captured in the 2024 budget for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, and awaiting release of funds and execution, to include:
– Provision and distribution of motorcycles to Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo youths;
– Construction of Okporomgbo/SDA junction;
– Supply of solar energy for Osisiokpor/Ezenwagbara/Umuokpor/Ariaria;

– Distribution of fertilizers, cassava stems and cash gifts to indigent constituents for the current farming season.
– Medical treatment of various classes of sicknesses and assisting in healthcare delivery to more than 100 indigent constituents in different medical centres and hospitals in various states of the country.
– Payment of school fees for some of my underprivileged constituents in secondary schools and universities
Hon Alozie further pointed out to the delivery of another batch of 600 bags of fertilizer which would be distributed in a few days’ time to the constituents.
Furthermore, Hon Munachim Alozie stated his engagement with the Embassy and Government of Spain to attract foreign investment to Abia State which, when realized, will create business opportunities and job for the youths.

In his words, “I acknowledge the right of the people to express their disaffection and demand quality representation, where none exists. But based on my efforts and commitment to bringing the dividends of democracy to my constituents, it is grossly unfair for the group to make such a call. It is obvious that they are not aware of my modest achievements. Their action stems from wrong assessment. I attach the documents. They are free to verify any of the things I have listed, if they doubt any. Records don’t lie. I remain irrevocably committed and alive to my responsibilities, and would not resort to media hype. In the fullness of time, they will realize that they were wrong in their assessment.”
