Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday evening commissioned the newly asphalted runway of the Chuba Okadigbo International and Cargo Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi State.
South East Reporters gathered that the Chuba Okadigbo International and Cargo Airport, Onueke has been in the news of recent with many questioning its viability and usefulness, but Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON), insists that the airport is extremely viable and useful.
The Onueke airport is the fourth in the South East, after Emene, Ngor-Okpala and Umueri airports that are all operational and now used by different people to access any part of the South East.
FON, who started the project of the new runway, said Ebonyi people are delighted to have hosted the First Lady, who was in the company of the wife of the Vice President, Her Excellency, Hajiya Nana Shettima.
South East Reporters confirms that the wives of the Speaker House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President, National Security Adviser and wives of 23 state Governors across the Nation also came with Mrs Tinubu to Onueke.
