The Federal High Court in Abuja has rescheduled the ruling on the no-case submission filed by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Originally fixed for Friday, 10th October 2025, the court has now brought the matter forward to Friday, 26th September 2025.
According to a hearing notice issued by the court registrar, the case between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Nnamdi Kanu has been moved from the general cause list to the hearing paper for determination of pending applications and ruling.
The notice, addressed to Kanu’s legal representatives, Kanu G. Agabi & Associates, directs that the matter will be heard at 9:00 a.m. at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The development has heightened expectations among supporters and observers, as the no-case submission represents a crucial stage in the prolonged legal battle between the federal government and the IPOB leader.
The ruling will determine whether Kanu has a case to answer on the terrorism-related charges filed against him, or whether the court will discharge him at this stage.
This latest adjustment by the court means the fate of the IPOB leader could be decided earlier than anticipated.
