Hon. Munachim Alozie, the member representing Obingwa-Osisioma-Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, has commenced the construction of a new block of classrooms at Akanu Ngwa Community School. This initiative is one of several constituency projects the federal lawmaker has attracted to his constituency.
The ongoing project, designed to include six classrooms, is part of the lawmaker’s contributions under the 2024 federal budget. With this addition, the total number of projects either completed or underway under his tenure rises to six. Other projects include:
Installation of solar streetlights in Isinkpa, Ihie, Akanu, and Umumba communities across Osisioma Ngwa and Ugwunagbo Local Government Areas.
- Phase 1 of Umukalika solar streetlights in Obingwa Local Government Area.
- Distribution of 600 bags of fertilizers to women in Obingwa, Ugwunagbo, and Osisioma Ngwa, irrespective of political affiliations.
- Distribution of 1,200 bags of rice in two phases.
- Disbursement of ₦50,000 cash grants to 1,600 constituents.

Upon completion, the classroom block is expected to enhance teaching and learning, provide a conducive environment for students, and boost school enrollment. This aligns with the free basic education policy championed by Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti.
During a brief flag-off ceremony attended by traditional leaders, HRH Eze Onyinye Rowland Alozie, the traditional ruler of Akanu Ngwa, commended Hon. Alozie for his commitment to grassroots development. He described the multi-million-naira project as a significant milestone for the community.
In his remarks, Hon. Munachim Alozie assured constituents that additional development projects are in the pipeline. These include the construction and rehabilitation of more schools, health centers, rural electrification, and initiatives aimed at empowering women and youth.
The lawmaker reiterated his dedication to improving the quality of life in the constituency through targeted infrastructure and empowerment programs.
