Club 17 Peace Initiative hails Deputy Speaker Kalu for attracting University of Medical Sciences,Item

 

Club17 Peace Initiative ,a foremost NGO, has applauded the people loving parliamentarian and Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Ben Kalu CON for attracting the proposed University of Medical Sciences,Item.

In a statement signed by the executives of the organization,they stated that Hon Ben Kalu has exhibited extreme political sagacity in ensuring that the bill passed through first, second and third readings successfully in the Federal House of Reprentatives.

Club 17 Peace Initiative lauded Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu for not only attracting key projects to the state and South East in general but also for advocating for peace which is a necessary condition for the successful execution of these projects.

The statement noted that by attracting the University of Medical Science to Item, the Deputy Speaker has by extension attracted large and small scale businesses and industries which will leverage on the expected population increase in the area to sell their goods and services, food markets that will serve the need of the people, estate developers that will provide housing for students, staff and investors in the area and most importantly bringing tertiary medical services to
Item and environs thereby saving people the expenses of seeking high level medical attention from hospitals far away from them.

The Club 17 Peace Initiative called on Abians and Ndi Igbo to give Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu all the needed support to continue delivering the dividends of democracy and to continue representing them effectively.

It will be recalled that the Deputy Speaker recently facilitated the establishment of the South East Development Commission which was established to pacify,heal and restore the South East to her glory days.
