In a heartwarming show of faith and camaraderie, businessman and philanthropist Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso joined Mr. Promise Uzoma Okoro, Chairman of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State chapter, as he and his family dedicated their son, Divine Kelechi Uzoma, to God in Umuahia.
The dedication, held at Power Word Assembly, was more than a spiritual rite — it became a gathering of faith, friendship, and leadership, attracting key figures from Abia’s media and political circles.
Worshipping alongside the Okoro family, Dr. Anyaso, who was the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 elections, described the experience as spiritually refreshing.

“I thank Pastor Uche Umeh for the warm reception and the spirit-filled atmosphere,” Anyaso said after the service. “It’s always inspiring to see men of God like him remain steadfast despite the challenges of ministry. He is truly a soul winner.”
The celebration continued at the Okoro residence, where guests were treated to a joyful reception. Surrounded by friends, colleagues, and community leaders, Dr. Anyaso reflected on the significance of dedicating a child to God, calling it “a beautiful reminder of the values that bind families and communities together.”
“Moments like this remind us of the enduring value of faith, family, and friendship,” he said. “I thank God for the gift of this child and pray that Divine Kelechi grows in wisdom, health, and grace.”
He also commended Mr. Okoro for his active role in both media and politics, describing him as “a bridge-builder who continues to shape conversations in Abia’s digital and civic space.”
“Promise is a good man—committed, articulate, and passionate about positive change,” Anyaso noted. “I am proud to associate with him.”
In a heartfelt response, Mr. Okoro expressed gratitude to Dr. Anyaso for honoring his family despite his busy engagements.
“We are truly humbled by your presence,” Okoro said. “Your support and friendship mean a lot to my family. May God continue to bless you and grant you more grace in all your endeavors.”
The event, attended by media professionals, clergy, political associates, and friends, captured the spirit of faith and togetherness that continues to define Abia’s growing community of leaders across different fields.
