Business Mogul Chima Anyaso Drums support for Governor Alex Otti’s Reelection

As Nigerians continue to yearn for a more inclusive and progressive democratic experience, a renowned business mogul and Vanguard Award recipient, Dr Chima Anyaso has called for the full practice of real democracy in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for freedom of speech, freedom of association, and political tolerance in the country’s multiparty system.

Speaking at a well-attended press briefing, the influential entrepreneur reaffirmed that Nigeria is not a one-party state, and cautioned against the suppression of opposition voices. He stressed that democracy must go beyond elections and embrace the spirit of diversity and inclusivity.

“A democracy thrives when people are free to associate, speak their minds, and when all political parties are allowed to exist without fear or intimidation,” he declared.

Known for his passion for community development under the philosophy of ‘Akurulo’—a concept promoting the return of wealth to one’s roots—the businessman showcased his contributions to his hometown, including a modern nursery/primary school and the newly launched Ofuji Resort.

These landmark projects, according to him, are strategically boosting Abia State’s tourism and hospitality sector, while also complementing the government’s efforts to improve education infrastructure and attract visitors to the region.
