The Ngwa nation is in mourning following the passing of Elder Emma Adaelu, a revered statesman and philanthropist. Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa, General Overseer of Chapel of Faith Bible Assembly International and Accord Party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Abia State, has paid glowing tributes to the late elder.

Describing Elder Emma Adaelu as a quintessential statesman and one of Ngwa’s most illustrious sons, Bishop Nwankpa lamented the profound vacuum left by his death, a loss he believes will be felt for decades.

In his tribute, Bishop Nwankpa commended the late elder’s dedication to humanity, noting that he lived a life of selflessness and service. He urged the sons and daughters of Ngwaland to emulate these virtues.

Furthermore, Bishop Nwankpa called on the Abia State Government to immortalize Elder Emma Adaelu by naming an institution or public structure after him. He also encouraged the Adaelu family to uphold their patriarch’s legacy of philanthropy, love for humanity, selfless service, and commitment to peace and unity in Ngwaland.

The cleric offered prayers for the repose of Elder Adaelu’s soul and for strength for his family, the Abayi community, and the entire Ngwa nation as they grapple with the loss of a beloved icon.

Elder Emmanuel Adaelu, MFR, was born 92 years ago in Abayi Amaugwu village, Osisioma Ngwa. A distinguished industrialist and the Chairman/CEO of Chemlap Nigeria Limited, he was a pioneer in the industrial sector. Before venturing into industry, Elder Adaelu had a successful teaching career spanning various secondary and post-secondary schools in Eastern Nigeria, retiring voluntarily in 1979.

Elder Emma Adaelu’s legacy as a statesman, philanthropist, and champion of progress will continue to inspire generations in Ngwaland and beyond.
