CHANGING THE NARRATIVE…
MY SACRED PROMISE TO NDE IGBERE ROHU… BARR. SIR. VINCENT ONUOHA CHUKWU IZUKA [ KSJI ]…
My name once again is Barr. Sir. Vincent Onuoha Chukwu Izuka [ KSJI ]. I am from Eziama Igbere. I am the first son of Late H.R.H. Eze C. O. Izuka [ OKOMOKO 1] and i am seriously vying for the office of President General of Igbere Welfare Union Central.
I want nde Igbere rohu to hold me responsible for the underlisted promises; namely:
1.A WELL ORGANIZED AND MOTIVATED SECURITY ARCHITECTURE – The Igbere Vigilante Group will be rebranded and unbundled into three Zonal Commands [ Zone A, B and C ] with the headquarters in Onu Ibinaukwu Igbere. This arrangement is for purposes of enhanced supervision, performance and control. Each zone shall comprise of four [4] communities with the headquarters zone comprised of five[5] communities. My Presidency shall convene a security summit to enable nde Igbere particularly experts in security matters decide on the best Rules and Regulations for the outfit.
My Presidency shall also create a Commission to be known as ” Igbere Vigilante Group Service Commission ”. This Commission shall handle issues of employment ,discipline, and general welfare of members of the Vigilante Group.
2.TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY shall be my watchword… Never again shall nde Igbere rohu be left in the dark as to the financial situation of our Union. My Presidency shall ensure that Statement of account/ Financial Report is published first in the IWU WhatsApp platform to be created UNDER under my watch and also circulated unfailingly in all Igbere social media platforms a month before each coming year’s annual meeting of the Union.
3.REVITALIZATION OF OUR UNIQUE CULTURAL VALUES AND SPECIAL CULTURAL ANNUAL EVENTS like ”Chi oha”, Ogudu and a few others… My Presidency shall seriously support and encourage all efforts that can help make our cultural events like ” Chi Oha” and ” Ogudu ” etc a tourist attraction.
4.TIMELY PRESENTATION OF BUDGET for each financial year… My Presidency unlike many before now will take seriously the issue of budget for the Union. Never again shall our common Union be administered as a private business enterprise of ”One Man and his chosen friends ” without recourse to our constitution. Take notice that if i receive your mandate to lead by 28th June, 2025, my humble self and elected exco shall immediately draw up and present a budget for the remaining part of this year. Hold me accountable on this promise.
5.A REINVIGORATED AGE GRADE SYSTEM that is better focused and service/welfare oriented… My Presidency shall convene an all stakeholders general summit to address noticeable lapses in our age grade system and proffer/recommend necessary action to help our age grades meet up with the rare challenges of the 21st century. A better IWU leadership is possible!
6.SCHEDULING OF MEETINGS like Central Executive meeting and Annual General Meetings in advance to enable adequate publicity and participation by all concerned… My Presidency shall through the office of the Sec. Gen. ensure timely and advance notice of periodic meetings of a general nature as to afford all concerned enough time to adequately participate.
7.HIGH REGARD AND RESPECT FOR OUR TRADITIONAL/ROYAL FATHERS/HIGHNESSES… Nde Eze, Nde Ezeogos, nde ichie Igbere must be respected and the royal stool treated with dignity… I am a product of the palace and my presidency shall continue to accord the best regard to Royal stool and occupants of same.
8.BUILDING CONSENSUS FOR RAPID DEVELOPMENT in all areas in Igbere clan… My Presidency shall reopen discussion on the IGBERE DEVELOPMENT PLAN as enacted by the three wise men- Igbere Professors led by Prof. Ijioma during their interim leadership of IWU central. My humble self and exco shall revisit this document in order to ensure even development of Igbere clan in line with an existing plan and not under the personal choices of an individual.
9.EZUMEZU Igbere event shall be better organized and promoted under my watch. Never again shall money[ s] donated and realized under such events be shrouded in secrecy and unaccounted for. My Presidency shall bring to an end the era of secrecy in the running of the affairs of the Union and officers/individuals found to have embezzled union funds shall be seriously exposed and held accountable. This, is my promise.
10.COMPLETE ADHERENCE TO RULE OF LAW AS AGAINST ”ONE MAN SHOW ” … My Presidency shall accord respect to IWU constitution and implement the provisions strictly. The Law, they say, is the safest helmet.
I, Barr. Sir. Vincent Onuoha Chukwu Izuka [ KSJI ] shall do more.
Support me and i will ‘surprise’ nde Igbere rohu in the area of positive transformation and zero tolerance for corruption.
