The Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce has dismissed reports alleging a building collapse at the Ekeoha Shopping Complex in Aba.
The Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Dr. (Mrs.) Salome Obiukwu, clarified that the incident involved only a temporary support prop failure during a routine concrete casting process.
According to the Ministry, both the project developer, Rhino Homes and Properties Ltd, and the Chairman of Ekeoha Market, Hon. Emeka Okeke, confirmed that the situation was minor, with no structural damage, casualties, or injuries recorded.
