Abia Police Raid Criminal Hideout, Recover Six Stolen Vehicles

The Abia State Police Command has successfully recovered six stolen vehicles following a raid on a criminal hideout in Uratta, Aba. The operation, carried out by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), was based on intelligence gathered by the command.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, the vehicles were mostly snatched at gunpoint. Several suspects have been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to track down others who managed to escape during the raid.

The recovered vehicles include:

  2. Toyota (Aris Red-colored) – Reg No: GDD 254 AA, Chassis No: JTOBT90317113755
  3. Toyota RAV4 (Navy Blue-colored) – Reg No: AG 743 BRR, Chassis No: JTEGH20V810030195
  4. Toyota 4Runner (Black-colored) – Reg No: ABC 903 BR, Chassis No: ZT3HN86Y0323994
  5. Toyota RAV4 – Reg No: KTU 778 BR, Chassis No: JTEGH20V430090641
  6. Toyota Sienna (Ash-colored) – Reg No: GWB 350 HM, Chassis No: 5TD2A23C45128038, Engine No: 4201838

The police have urged members of the public who have valid ownership documents for any of the recovered vehicles to visit the Abia State Command Headquarters for authentication and possible reclaiming.

The raid is part of the command’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and restore security in the state. The police have assured residents that investigations are continuing to ensure that all culprits involved in the vehicle theft syndicate are brought to justice.
